Writing & Performances

As a storyteller, I create convincing and imaginative stories that uncover the beauty within our most personal and intimate relationships.

The Peluiya

The Peluiya (2026) was a multi-disciplinary staged performance I wrote in collaboration with ARTS By The People and Montclair State University’s Dance and Choreography Department and Musical Composition Department. I worked with dancers and a music composer to bring to life this mythological story about divine beings who guide and support us through times of struggle.

Dancers: Nevaeh Green, Erin Miller, Lili Freeberg

Composer : Milo Berntsen

And Still We Dance

And Still We Dance (2025) is a collection of writings from the 4th Annual Writing LAB Summer Residency, a unique ekphrastic collaboration between Arts by the People and T’Monde, a Cajun band from South Louisiana. Twelve artists were selected to develop writing based on music played during the residency. “Sugarcane and Magnolia” was a short story I wrote based in Louisiana in the 1960’s and explores the parts of us that we lose when peopled close to us are forced to flee.

You can purchase a copy of this collection of writings HERE.
