Fiction Writing

Gordon skillfully uses prose to create convincing and imaginative stories that uncover the beauty within our most personal and intimate relationships.

And Still We Dance is a collection of writings from the 4th Annual Writing LAB Summer Residency, a unique ekphrastic collaboration between Arts by the People and T’Monde, a Cajun band from South Louisiana. Twelve artists were selected to develop writing based on music played during the residency. Gordon’s story, titled “Sugarcane and Magnolia”, took place in Louisiana in the 1960’s and explores the parts of us that we lose when peopled close to us are forced to flee.
